This hands-on training covers planning, execution and follow-up for a variety of non-violent direct actions tactics such as blockades, sit-ins, lock-downs, etc. We will identify necessary roles for ensuring the safety and effectiveness of an action and cover security measures and legal basics of non-violent direct activism. Participants will role-play various action scenarios relevant to the work they do. This workshop will leave participants with greater clarity on choosing and planning actions as well as tangible skills to effectively carry out actions.
