Communicating your campaign's message and establishing public awareness of your organization is essential to building a bigger and more powerful movement. In this workshop we will discuss how to refine your the message and how to communicate this message to your audience. We will cover the basics behind getting your story covered by established media outlets as well as techniques of producing your own media and materials. Having a clear understanding of your goals and the context of your actions is imperative to successfully communicating your message. We will look at scenarios in which this principle was or was not recognized and the outcome in media coverage and public perception.
